Sinvin Realty, LLC announced that the former home of Zito’s Bakery, 263 Bleecker Street between Morton and Cornelia Streets in the West Village, has been leased to Pizza Roma, a high-end specialty pizza maker from Italy and Barcelona.

Sinvin Managing Director, STEVE RAPPAPORT represented the landlord, 259 Bleecker, LLC in the ten-year deal. Marco Martini of Evans Real Estate represented the tenant.

The Pizza Roma restaurateurs are introducing their authentic Roman style pizza to New York City with their first US store. They join venerable pizzerias nearby like John’s and Joe’s, along with a new wave of places like Keste and ZPizza. Pizza Roma stands apart with its unique pricing system, where slices are valued based on weight.
According to Rappaport, “Bleecker Street has quickly become a world-class pizza destination, and when it comes to pizza, too much is never enough.”

Too much is certainly not enough for Rappaport, who has closed three deals on Bleecker Street in the past 12 months and has leased four pizza places in this area of the West Village in the past two years.

263 Bleecker Street has 12 feet of frontage, is 1,100 s/f on the ground floor and 1,200 s/f in the basement, and features a 400 s/f garden seating area. The reported asking rent was $175 per ground-floor square foot.
